Climate change is a growing threat worldwide. Under this premise, the European Green Pact has been created in Europe with the aim of modernising the territory’s economy and improving the management of resources, without being less competitive.
To achieve this, goals have been set to which all member countries must contribute: to stop producing net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, to decouple economic growth from the use of resources and to ensure that no people or places are left behind in this evolution.
Milestones have also been set to be achieved by 2050. One of the commitments is to try to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030, levels comparable to 1900.
