It is the first step towards a future industrial ‘hub’ of green hydrogen in the Valencian Community. From the Generalitat Valenciana, it is planned to make the most of the decision of the multinational bp, leader in the energy sector, which has chosen the Community as a strategic location in which to develop its commitment to transformation towards sustainable energy sources, for which has planned an investment of more than 2,000 million euros for the coming years. Recently, the regional secretary of Industry, Commerce and Consumption, Felipe Carrasco, has emphasized that the public-private collaboration will become a reality with the aim of “leading the energy transition of sectors as relevant as the ceramic, chemical, mobility or commercial aviation”.

For this reason, from the Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, headed by Nuria Montes, an agreement has been reached with bp, to formalize the constitution of the Valencian Green Hydrogen Pact, HyVAL . It is the start of the development of a green hydrogen strategy in the Community “to move effectively towards specific objectives”.
