On November 24, 2023, Jaume I University celebrated the II Conference of Chairs and Classrooms to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Chairs and Classrooms Program at UJI, affiliated with the Vice-Rectorate for Innovation, Transfer, and Scientific Outreach. The team from the Chair of New Green Transition at the Universitat Jaume I also participated in the event.
During the gathering, tribute was paid to the public and private entities participating in this program. The rector, Eva Alcón, highlighted the consolidation of the program as a space for strategic cooperation in education, research, innovation, and scientific outreach.
Vice-Rector David Cabedo emphasized the program’s growth since its inception in 2013, now with 32 chairs and 11 classrooms. He expressed gratitude for the contribution of entities that have provided nearly 1.4 million euros, emphasizing the benefits for the university and collaborating entities. The conference included a presentation by Miguel Ángel Buñuel, president of the Joint Committee of the BSH Electrodomèstics Chair, who presented the success story in the university-business relationship of the Chair.
