The aim of the course is to review the challenges and conflicts that climate change and the pandemic have generated in tourism. Although in recent months Covid-19 has been the undisputed protagonist, we cannot forget all the dimensions that tourism activity affects, whether at a socio-cultural, environmental, political or governance level.

Some of the topics to be discussed will include the conflicts in urban areas due to the intensification of tourism, depopulation, over-exploitation of resources and the role of women in tourism.
