Support the creation of new business projects that innovate in areas related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). To this end, the Interuniversity Chair of New Green Transition, the Chair of Transformation of the Economic Model of the Miguel Hernández de Elche University and the Chair of Cooperation for Sustainable Development of the UMH, all of them promoted with the collaboration of the Generalitat Valenciana, have joined the 10th UMH Marathon. This program for entrepreneurs combines a training itinerary on key areas for the creation of startups with the support and personalized advice from mentors from the Science Park, and from its network of technological and sector experts. The 10th edition of the UMH Marathon also has a total of 68,000 euros and other special prizes, which will be distributed among the most innovative projects.
For its part, the Interuniversity Chair of New Green Transition, in which the UMH participates and the Generalitat Valenciana collaborates through the Department of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture, focuses on promoting the right to housing and a sustainable urban environment in the framework of the Ecological Transition and in the fight against climate change. Thus, the entity will award in the first stage of the UMH Marathon an economic prize of € 1,000 to the project, from any sector, that promotes or is related to sustainable development, and / or the fight against climate change. For example, in areas such as the circular economy, sustainable housing, energy efficiency or renewable energies, among others.
