The Monitoring Mixed Commission for the Chair of New Green Transition has been set up today, October 29, through a virtual meeting, during which it was reported that the Chair’s action plans will soon be approved. The Chair was created by the Second Vice-Presidency and Department of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture of the Generalitat Valenciana, with the main objective of developing research, teaching and dissemination activities on strategies and public policies on fair ecological transition and the fight against climate change. within the framework of the concept of sustainable habitat. Through the Chair, which has the participation of teams from the 5 Valencian public universities, it seeks to promote the achievement of the right to sustainable housing and its urban environment within the framework of the governance of the ecological transition and the fight against climate change in the Valencian Community.

In today’s meeting took part different members of Valencian government and the representatives of the 5 public Valencian universities: Eva Camacho, associate vice-chancellor and tenured professor of Economics at the Jaume I University; Aurora Pedro, tenured professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia; Raúl Reina, Vice-Rector for Inclusion, Sustainability and Sports of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche; Carmina Gil, head of the Integrated Employment Service of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Rafael Muñoz, vice-rector of Research and Connection Transfer of the University of Alacant.

In addition, at the meeting, Adoración Guamán has been appointed as president of the Mixed Commission and Javier Lorente as secretary.
