The fight against climate change and the adoption of the principles of ecological transition in the field of public policies require a systemic and transversal approach.
The Chair of New Green Transition at the Universitat Politècnica de València focuses precisely on addressing this challenge. In the first place, regarding the design of public policies, which require cross-cutting methodologies and procedures that allow coordination, synergies and coherence between all public initiatives. Second, these cross-cutting processes need institutional designs that allow for both vertical and horizontal coordination of the different decision levels, avoiding duplication and making the most of the economic and technical possibilities of public administrations and services.
Thus, the main objectives of the New Green Transition Chair at the UPV are:
1. Carry out an activity of reflection and analysis in the design of transversal public policies within the framework of the ecological transition, as well as the institutional design that allows its coordination and citizen participation in said design.
2. Organize and facilitate communication and training activities related to these aspects, aimed at both the university community and society as a whole.
3. Carry out informative work throughout the Valencian territory and through information technology of the activities of the chair and related topics.
