The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), through the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE), has awarded 20 million euros to a total of 79 projects spread over a large part of the national territory for the promotion and dynamization of Energy Communities.
The priority and objective of the energy communities is to reduce emissions and increase the participation of renewable energies in the energy system. These projects seek to facilitate the creation of new energy communities with dissemination and advisory measures, which spread knowledge about this cooperative formula of production and consumption of renewable energy, energy efficiency measures, demand management and sustainable mobility.
