On the afternoon of 3 November, it took place the conference Building the future we want. Educational resources for sustainable development. From the Chair’s team at the University of Valencia we participated with the presentation of the director, Aurora Pedro, entitled Sustainable Universities and the importance of the 2030 Agenda in the field of education.
One of the essential parts of the presentation was to discuss what can be done from universities to link education with sustainable development. It was proposed to mobilise and provide young people with the skills and tools to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and to promote research in order to provide solutions to the challenges posed by the SDGs. It was also pointed out the need to establish these goals in all educational institutions, and to promote university involvement and leadership in order to implement them and generate dialogue.
In summary, Aurora Pedro translated all these actions as “educate, research and lead socially” from universities.
