One of the objectives of the Interuniversity Chair of New Green Transition is to support the creation of new business projects that innovate in areas related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). That’s why it has participated in the UMH Startup Creation Marathon, which on January 26 presented the prizes for its tenth edition, with a total amount close to € 80,000, as well as other special prizes. The Chair, in which the UMH participates and the Generalitat Valenciana collaborates through the Department of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture, focuses on promoting the right to housing and a sustainable urban environment within the framework of the Ecological Transition and the fight against climate change. Thus, the Chair provided an economic prize of € 1,000 for a project related to sustainable development, and / or the fight against climate change. The ClimaticCo initiative was awarded by the Chair and also had an additional € 1,500 contributed by Grupo Levantina.

The program has also had the support of other chairs such as the Transformation of the Economic Model at the Miguel Hernández de Elche University and the Cooperation for Sustainable Development at the UMH, all of them promoted with the collaboration of the Generalitat Valenciana.

The director of the Chair at the UMH, Agustín Pérez, intervened in this regard at the awards ceremony:
