The director of the Chair of the New Green Transition at the Universitat Jaume I, Eva Camacho, is taking part in September in an online course in collaboration with the United Nations (UN) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
She will do so in the framework of the UNITAR and Schiller Global Climate and SDG Synergy Conference, which aims to analyse in depth the definition of sustainability and how to integrate this concept in different areas. It also aims to demonstrate the importance of complying with the 2030 Agenda and seeks to analyse different actors actively involved in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In particular, Eva Camacho will present the session on Universities and SDGs, Actors contributing to the Implementation of the SDGs. Firstly, she will talk about how universities are a key actor to meet these goals, and secondly, she will exemplify with the Universitat Jaume I itself.
The Chair of New Green Transition is promoted by the Second Vice-presidency and Regional Ministry of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture of the Generalitat Valenciana, and the 5 Valencian public universities participate in it.
