The second vice-president and councilor for Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture, Héctor Illueca, signed yesterday Monday, March 14, the renewal of the agreement of the Inter-University Chair of New Green Transition. It involves the five public universities of the Valencian Community with the aim of promoting the ecological transition and sustainable habitat.

Illueca has valued the work of the Chair to study the design of new public policies that respect both the limits of the planet and the dignified life of people. He also stressed that actions to address climate change can no longer wait, so policy makers must move “from words to deeds”.

The event was attended by the rectors of these universities: the University of Valencia (UV), Mavi Mestre; the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), José Esteban Capilla; the University of Alicante (UA), Amparo Navarro; the Universitat Jaume I (UJI), Eva Alcón; and the University Miguel Hernández, Juan José Ruiz.
